Abstract
The work derives a Page curve in a time-dependent AdS3/BCFT2 setup and compares defect extremal surface and island prescriptions. It then extends the comparison to higher dimensions, where the bulk defect-extremal-surface entropy is generally smaller than the low-energy island result.
